How to Create a Raydium Liquidity Pool
To create a Raydium liquidity pool, choose the pool type, enter the two token mint addresses, set the fee tier and opening price, deposit both assets, and confirm the transaction. For a straightforward new permissionless pool, Raydium recommends Standard AMM (CPMM). Choose concentrated liquidity only if you understand price ranges and intend to manage the position.
The important work happens before you sign: checking the token pair, understanding what your deposit ratio means, and keeping enough SOL for transaction and account costs. After signing, verify the on-chain result before announcing the pool.
Choose Between CPMM and Concentrated Liquidity
A pool lets traders exchange between two assets using deposited liquidity. Creating one is different from creating a token: you need the token mints and assets ready before you can seed the market.
| Decision | Standard AMM / CPMM | Concentrated liquidity / CLMM |
|---|---|---|
| Liquidity placement | Full price range | A selected price range |
| Main configuration | Token pair, fee tier, opening price and deposits | Token pair, fee tier, opening price and position range |
| Management consideration | No position range to reposition | Liquidity can move out of range as price changes |
| Fit for this guide | A straightforward new pool | A separate workflow for operators who understand range management |
The steps below cover CPMM. Do not copy its deposit and LP-token expectations into a CLMM workflow unchanged.
Before creating anything, search for an existing pool using the exact token mints. A familiar symbol is not enough: unrelated tokens can share the same ticker. Check whether your project already uses an endorsed pool and avoid splitting liquidity accidentally. Pools for the same pair can also use different fee tiers, so check more than the pair name.
Prepare the Tokens, Opening Price and Wallet
Verify both mints. Confirm the token you intend to list and the asset it will trade against. Check token decimals and any authority or transfer restrictions. A wallet balance does not by itself prove that a token can be used in the selected pool.
Review Token-2022 warnings. Support depends on the token's configuration. Read the warnings Raydium presents instead of assuming that every extension behaves like a standard token. Non-transferable tokens are unsuitable for this workflow. Transfer fees can change the effective amounts and costs users experience.
Set the opening price deliberately. Your initial deposit ratio establishes the pool's opening price. Review which asset is being quoted and account for decimals. A misplaced decimal or reversed price can expose your starting inventory to arbitrage; a successful transaction does not mean the economic setup was correct.
Keep this preflight checklist beside the signing screen:
- Both mint addresses match the intended pair.
- Both asset balances cover the proposed initial deposits.
- SOL remains available for transaction fees and required account costs.
- The opening price and fee tier match the intended market.
- Token warnings and wallet permissions have been reviewed.
Planning the launch as well as the pool? Our Solana bundler and launch-wallet guide explains Panda Bundler's supported launch preparation, wallet management and trading workflows. That is a separate decision from the Raydium pool-creation procedure below: do not assume support for creating or importing a Raydium pool, or automatic migration from another launch venue. Check the Panda Bundler documentation for the supported workflow before choosing your launch tools.
Create the Raydium Pool Step by Step
Use Raydium's official application and open its liquidity pool-creation flow. Verify the domain before connecting a wallet; do not use an unsolicited support link or share a recovery phrase.
- Choose Standard AMM / CPMM. Confirm the selected pool type before entering amounts. This procedure is not a CLMM position-creation guide.
- Select both tokens. Paste and verify the mint addresses. Review any token warnings rather than selecting by ticker alone.
- Choose an available fee tier. This is the pool's trading-fee configuration, not a statement of your total creation cost. Compare the options shown in the current interface.
- Enter the initial price and liquidity. Review both deposit amounts, including any amount calculated by the interface. Check the quote direction again: the initial ratio is your opening price.
- Review the complete transaction. Check the pair, tier, deposits, expected LP-token output and displayed creation costs. Use the current application and wallet figures rather than treating any blog estimate as a fixed quote.
- Sign and check the result. Submit only when the details match your intent. Record the transaction signature and resulting pool address, then verify confirmation on-chain. A wallet approval or submission notification alone is not proof that the pool was created.
If submission expires or fails, inspect the transaction status and wallet balances before retrying. Do not create another pool merely because the first one has not appeared in search yet. Network congestion, fee settings and interface indexing are different issues and need different responses.
Verify the Pool Before Promoting the Token
Start with the confirmed transaction and pool account. Compare both mints, the pool address and the chosen fee tier against your setup. Check the LP-token position in your wallet or Raydium portfolio. Keep the pool address with your project's operational records so that later links point to the intended market.
Raydium's interface may take time to index a newly created pool. Search by mint or pool address rather than relying only on a name. If the transaction is confirmed but the pool is absent from a search result, that alone is not a reason to repeat creation.
A small test swap can help check the available trading route, but it still incurs costs and can move the price in a shallow pool. Review price impact and slippage before confirming. Pool creation does not guarantee that every aggregator immediately routes the pair.
Next, separate discoverability from promotion. The DEX Screener listing guide covers checking whether the correct pair is indexed and presented. Once the market is live and its links are verified, the DEX Screener Trending guide explains the separate visibility decision.
Creating liquidity does not guarantee buyers, an aggregator listing, a Trending position or price support. Review the actual market and verified pair page before spending on promotion.

FAQ
CPMM is the straightforward full-range option covered here. CLMM requires choosing and managing a price range.
Review the current application estimate and wallet transaction details. Pool and account costs are separate from the liquidity deposited, and network costs can change.
Check on-chain confirmation first. Interface indexing may lag; search using the exact mint or pool address before repeating creation.
No. Verify the intended pair independently. Pool creation, aggregator discovery and promotion are separate steps.
