Market Cap
A token's current price multiplied by its circulating supply - the standard measure of its total tradeable value.
Why it matters
Mcap is the fastest way to compare tokens at a glance. But on a launch with 5% circulating and 95% locked, mcap tells you nothing about the sell pressure sitting in vesting contracts. FDV does.
Mcap vs FDV
- Market cap - price times circulating supply (what's tradeable now).
- FDV - price times max supply (what would exist if everything unlocked).
- Meme coin - 100% supply live from block one, mcap equals FDV, number is honest.
- VC coin - 5% live at launch, mcap tiny, FDV huge, every unlock is a sell wall.
- Gap size - the bigger the FDV/mcap gap, the more locked supply is waiting to hit.
A token launches at $0.05 with 100M circulating and 2B max supply. Mcap: $5M - looks cheap. FDV: $100M - looks like Ethereum-tier valuation.
Six months later, VC unlocks start. Every unlock cliff dumps 200M tokens onto a chart that never had the volume to absorb them. Mcap didn't lie. Circulating supply did.
How to read it right
- Always check FDV - DEX Screener shows both by default.
- Read the vesting schedule - unlocks are calendar-driven price gravity.
- Compare like for like - meme vs VC, FDV vs FDV, not mcap vs mcap.
- Watch supply changes - migrations, token merges and burns rewrite the math overnight.
Common mistakes
- Buying "cheap" mcap without checking FDV or unlocks.
- Comparing meme mcap to VC mcap - the numbers describe different things.
- Ignoring supply increases - inflationary tokens grow mcap without growing price.
- Trusting CoinGecko / CMC blindly - circulating supply data lags by hours.
Mcap tells you today. FDV tells you tomorrow. Buy tokens where both numbers agree.

Launching a token → Panda Bundler. Growing an existing one → PandaBoost Panel.
Whatever stage you're at — we're the stack.
Pre-launch? Bundle safe, warm wallets, fund quiet.
Post-launch? Trend on every scanner, chart and feed that matters.
The launch window is short. Don't waste it.
