DEX Aggregator

Why it matters

Liquidity for the same token pair is often spread across several DEXs and pools. Checking every venue by hand is slow, and the pool with the most recognizable name does not always offer the best execution for your order size.

A DEX aggregator does that comparison in one place. It looks at available routes and estimates how many tokens you should receive after pool pricing, route fees, and expected price impact.

Route building

A direct swap uses one pool, such as TOKEN/USDC. If that pool is thin, the aggregator may find a better path through an intermediary asset or split the order across more than one source of liquidity.

• Direct route: one swap through one pool.
• Multi-hop route: the trade passes through an intermediary token.
• Split route: the order is divided between several pools.
• Final quote: expected output is calculated for the route available at that moment.

The user still signs the transaction from a wallet. The aggregator finds and prepares the route; it does not remove the need to verify what the transaction will do.

Before you swap

• the token contract address and blockchain network;
• the route and any intermediary tokens;
• minimum received, network fee, and route fees;
• price impact and slippage settings;
• token approvals requested by the transaction.

A quote can change before confirmation because reserves and prices move with every swap. Token taxes, transfer restrictions, or unusual contract logic can also make the final result different from a simple route estimate.

Aggregator vs screener

A DEX aggregator is built to find and execute swap routes. A DEX screener is built to discover and analyse markets. Some products include both functions, but the jobs are different: one routes a trade, while the other helps you inspect pools, charts, and activity.

A better quoted route is useful only when the token, approvals, minimum received, and transaction details are also correct.
