CoinMarketCap Trending and Most Visited: A Guide for Token Teams
If you run a token, you have probably been asked the same question by your community at least once: "When are we trending on CoinMarketCap?" It sounds like a single goal, but CoinMarketCap actually runs several separate public boards, and the two that get confused most often are Trending and Most Visited. They sit next to each other, they look similar, and they measure different things.
This guide explains what each board actually shows in CoinMarketCap's own words, where to find them, what you can realistically influence, and what PandaBoost's CoinMarketCap Trending campaign includes — with the real terms stated up front.
Trending vs Most Visited
Both boards live under Leaderboards in CoinMarketCap's main navigation, alongside Gainers & Losers, Recently Added, Upcoming and Community Sentiment. Anyone can open them without an account, which is exactly why token teams care about them.
The Trending page describes itself this way: "Listed below are the hottest trending cryptocurrencies on CoinMarketCap. These are the coins and tokens that have the most visibility in the last 24 hours across the site." The key phrase is most visibility in the last 24 hours across the site — it is a rolling, short-window view of attention.

Most Visited uses different language: "Listed below are the most viewed cryptocurrencies, based on internal CoinMarketCap real-time data." Note two things. First, it says most viewed, not most searched. Second, it says internal real-time data — CoinMarketCap does not publish the formula, the window, or the weighting behind it.

The boards also display market-data columns. The 24h, 7d and 30d percentages describe price changes; they do not establish the ranking window or how long attention has lasted.
What CoinMarketCap Documents
CoinMarketCap documents three different API ranking signals: trending/latest uses on-site search activity, trending/most-visited uses page views, and trending/gainers-losers uses price change. These are distinct signals, not interchangeable measures.
The public Trending board describes visibility across the site. Do not assume its order always matches an API response or infer a complete ranking formula from a description. Track the specific public board relevant to your campaign. Google searches for a ticker are not the same as searches inside CoinMarketCap.
Gainers & Losers is a price-change ranking. It is not the Trending promotion offer described below.
Before Booking a Campaign
Before booking a campaign, check the following details.
- Confirm your token is actually listed on CoinMarketCap — with its own coin page, not just appearing in DEX-scanner views. A DexScan entry is not a CMC listing.
- Check your real 24-hour trading volume against the campaign requirements before booking.
- Decide which exact surface you want. "CoinMarketCap visibility" is not a spec. Trending and Most Visited are different boards with different behaviour — name the one you mean.
- Pick the asset precisely. Correct chain, correct contract, correct ticker. Tokens with near-identical names are common and mistakes here are expensive.
- Choose campaign timing deliberately. Plan around something real — a listing, an unlock, a product launch, a partnership announcement.
- Write down what you will measure. Page views, referral traffic, holder growth, community joins. Decide before, not after.
- Make sure your coin page is presentable. If visibility works, new visitors land on that page. Logo, links, description and socials should be current.
CoinMarketCap Trending with PandaBoost
Here are the real terms, stated plainly.
PandaBoost offers a CoinMarketCap Trending promotion. Pricing starts at $2,000. Duration starts at 8 hours. To be eligible, your token must be listed on CoinMarketCap and must have at least $2 million in 24-hour trading volume.
Two clarifications that matter:
- Those eligibility terms are PandaBoost's campaign requirements, not CoinMarketCap's ranking criteria. CoinMarketCap does not publish a volume threshold for its boards. The $2M figure is the floor at which we are willing to run this campaign.
- This offer covers CoinMarketCap Trending. Check Most Visited packages separately in the panel; the Trending starting price does not establish Most Visited pricing.
Confirm campaign scope and placement terms before booking. Promotion does not establish future price movement, holder growth or investment returns.

FAQ
They are two separate public Leaderboards. CoinMarketCap describes Trending as the coins and tokens with the most visibility in the last 24 hours across the site, and Most Visited (titled Most Viewed Cryptocurrencies) as the most viewed cryptocurrencies based on internal CoinMarketCap real-time data. Trending shows short-horizon columns such as 1h and 24h change, DEX liquidity and transactions; Most Visited shows 24h, 7d and 30d change with a seven-day chart.
No. Most Visited states only that it is based on internal CoinMarketCap real-time data, and Trending refers to site-wide visibility over 24 hours. Neither discloses a weighting, window or threshold, so any claim of a reverse-engineered formula or a guaranteed rank should be treated with suspicion.
CoinMarketCap documents trending/latest as based on on-site search activity and trending/most-visited as based on page views. Do not assume an API response always matches the public board in the same order.
No. Gainers and Losers ranks by price change over a timeframe, so it is a market-data board rather than an attention board. It is not something a promotion service can legitimately sell.
Pricing starts at $2,000 and duration starts at 8 hours. Your token must be listed on CoinMarketCap and have at least $2 million in 24-hour trading volume. These are PandaBoost campaign eligibility requirements, not CoinMarketCap ranking criteria.
The quoted starting price and duration apply to CoinMarketCap Trending. Check the separate Most Visited service in the panel for its conditions.
No. We do not promise a specific rank, a number one slot, a price movement or a holder count. A visibility campaign buys exposure; conversion depends on your token, your coin page and your timing.
